Capacitor Banks
What is a capacitor bank?

Capacitor banks are equipment that reduce reactive energy demand and stabilise the electrical system.

Advantages

• Reduction of energy costs
• Quality of supply
• Facilities efficiency
• Increase in active energy (kW)

Benefits
Saves Energy
Reduces reactive energy consumption and energy consumption costs
Caring for your electrical systems
You gain quality, efficiency and an increase in active energy output.
Frequently Asked Questions
The energy needed by some industrial appliances (lifts, air conditioning, heavy equipment, etc.) to operate. This energy is not actually consumed, but is used and returned to the electrical system, i.e. it is not reflected in the total consumption shown on the electricity bill. If the amount of reactive energy exceeds the established limits, the supplier will add the amount of this surplus to the electricity bill as a supplementary tariff (unless the installation has capacitor banks).
